साहित्य मानव जीवनको कलात्मक अभिव्यक्ति हो । जीवनमा घटित घटनालार्इ कलात्मक अभिव्यक्ति दिनाले त्यो साैन्दर्यले युक्त गुणवान साहित्य वन्न जान्छ । जुन भाषालार्इ सुन्दर वनाउँने तत्वको रूपमा अलङ्कारलार्इ लिन सकिन्छ । यसले साहित्यलार्इ सार्थक अाकर्षक र प्रभावकारी वनाउँन विशेष महत्त्व खेल्दछ । अग्निपुराणमा अलङ्कार विहिन कविता विधवा स्त्री जस्तै शोभा विहिन हुन्छ भन्दै कवितामा अलङ्कारको महत्त्वपूर्ण स्थान हुनेकुरा बताइएको छ । भामहले पनि स्त्रीसँग नै तुलना गर्दै जतिसुकै शुन्दर स्त्रीमा पनि अाभूषण विना सुन्दर हुँदैन त्यसरी नै अलङ्कार विनाको साहित्य शाैन्दर्यहिन हुनेकुरा वताउँदै अलङ्कारको महत्त्व दर्शाएका छन् । त्यस्तै जयदेव अग्नीका लागी अग्नीतत्त्व झै काव्यका लागि अलङ्कार अावस्यक देख्दछन् । साहित्यमा अलङ्कारको महत्त्वलार्इ बुँदागत रूपमा यसरी हेर्न सकिन्छ -
१. काव्यलार्इ शाैन्दर्य युक्त वनाउँने अंग नै अलङ्कार हो त्यसैले यो काव्यको लागि महत्वर्ण रहन्छ ।
२. कल्पनाशक्तिको असीमित उडानबाट सर्थक भावयुक्त काव्यको रचना गर्न अलङ्कारको विशेष योजना रहन्छ ।
३. साहित्य सिर्जनागर्दा मनभित्रका भावहरूलार्इ शब्द र अर्थ अलङ्कारका माध्यमवाट बाहिर प्रष्फूटन गरेपछि लेखकले शान्तिको अाभाष गरि उसले अात्मिक सुख प्राप्त गर्छ । त्यसकारण अलङ्कारको सम्भन्ध स्रष्टासँग पनि जोडिएको हुन्छ । यसरी सर्जकले अात्मसन्तुष्टिको अनुभूति गरेको सिर्जनामा पाठक पनि कृतिबाट उत्पन्न साैन्दर्यमा तल्लीन हुन पुग्दछ। यसरी सर्जक र पाठक दुवैको हृदयलार्इ उदिप्त बनाउँन अलङ्कारको भूमिका रहन्छ।
४. अलङ्कारकै माध्यमले काव्यमा उक्ति विचित्रता सिर्जना भइ सार्वकालिक सार्भभाैम र सार्वजनिक बन्न पुग्दछ ।
५. काव्यमा नविनता र विविधता उत्पन्न गराउन अलङ्कारको महत्त्वपूर्ण स्थान रहन्छ ।
६. अलङ्रकारकै कारण साहित्यमा शब्ददोष हटाउन सकिनुका साथै समाजका विकृति र विसंगतिलार्इ खवरदारी गर्न सकिन्छ ।
७. लेखक अाफ्नो साहित्यलार्इ उद्देश्यपूर्ण बनाउँन विम्व र प्रतिकहरूको प्रयोग गर्दछ ।यसले साहित्यलार्इ मिठास त बनाउँछ नै अर्कोतिर जनचेतना फैलाउँन र समाज सुधार गर्न पनि महत्त्वपूर्ण भूमिका रहन्छ ।
निष्कर्षमा भन्नुपर्दा अलङ्कार साहित्यको महत्त्वपूर्ण अंग हो ,जसले साहित्यलार्इ शुन्दर बनाउँनका साथै लेखक तथा पाठक दुवैले अानन्द अनुभूत गर्दछन् । जव उद्द्ेश्यपूर्ण साहित्य सिर्जना हुन्छ तव त्यसले समाज परिवर्तनको लागि महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका खेल्दछ । यसरी साहित्यमा महत्वपूर्ण स्थान रहन्छ ।

2. Alangkar has a special plan to compose meaningful poetry through the unlimited flight of imagination.
3. When the writer expresses his inner feelings through words and meanings while creating literature, he achieves spiritual happiness by giving the impression of peace. Therefore, the relation of ornament is also connected with the Creator. In this way, the reader becomes immersed in the beauty arising from the work in the creation where the creator has experienced self-satisfaction. In this way, rhetoric plays a role in captivating the hearts of both the creator and the reader.
4. The rhetoric in poetry is created through rhetoric and becomes universal and public forever.
5. Rhetoric has an important place in creating innovation and diversity in poetry.
6. Due to rhetoric, word defects in literature can be removed and distortions and inconsistencies in society can be warned.
7. Authors use imagery and symbols to make their literature purposeful. It not only sweetens literature but also plays an important role in spreading public awareness and improving society.
